polymer guides are not a problem I have several guns with Polymer guide rods that have thousands of round through them with no issues.

Nothing has been reported and you tube reviews and shooting have not produced any issues. Still, I replace polymer guide rods in my pistols with metal aftermarket if available Darion.

Hi Darion, There is no issue at all these polymer guide rods will last the life off the firearm unless making your gun fully auto the it may melt. I do however change mine to stainless but its not necessary.

Polymer guide rods rarely break and probably would not cause normal shooters a problem in a lifetime of shooting. I use them in my competition pistols when metal rods (heavier) cause balance problems and noticed that they never wear or batter the frames from recoil like some aftermarket metal replacements do. I'd only replace it if I wanted the gun to be a bit nose heavy.
