Hi Christopher, much to the dismay of Dictator Murphy, this gun is 100% legal in the People's Republik of New Jersey. There is no magazine capacity limit for rimfire lever action rifles with a tubular magazine. I am a fellow New Jersey resident and own several of these Henry rifles. Stay safe and have a great day!
