The Springfield Armory 1911 Emissary does not use MIM (Metal Injection Molded) or plastic parts; it is constructed entirely with forged steel components for the frame, slide, and barrel, meaning all critical parts are made of metal and not plastic, with no MIM parts used in its construction.
