I'm fairly new to the 22lr game, is this pistol dry fire safe? I know ppl use to say u shouldn't dry fire 22lr rifles but these days it's safe to dry fire some firearms in 22lr. Thanks a lot!

Yeah, being a rim Fire cartridge. Dry firing would not be recommended.

According to the manual, yes the TX is safe to dry fire.  I have one, have dry fired it numerous times, and have never had a problem.

Hi Shane, As for the TX22, Taurus explicitly says it is okay to dry fire that handgun: Dry firing a Taurus .22 pistol or revolver will cause damage to the firing pin. This does not include the TaurusTX™ 22 because it is designed to be dry fire safe.
