Yeah, being a rim Fire cartridge. Dry firing would not be recommended.
According to the manual, yes the TX is safe to dry fire. I have one, have dry fired it numerous times, and have never had a problem.
Hi Shane, As for the TX22, Taurus explicitly says it is okay to dry fire that handgun: Dry firing a Taurus .22 pistol or revolver will cause damage to the firing pin. This does not include the TaurusTX™ 22 because it is designed to be dry fire safe. Stay safe & have a great day!
