It looks like this would need to be drilled and tapped. Also the 930 mag tube only holds 4 rounds of 2.75" shells, however, giving 4+1 capability

I am not sure about the Mossberg 930 Home Defense. I own the 930 JM model, and it came drilled and tapped.I purchased the Weaver type rail direct from Mossberg. I would call Mossberg about the Home Defense model.I spoke to a great person there about adding a sling swivel to the forward band.Ended up finding one that was same thread pitch as the pre-threaded hole in the band.
