Hi Jeffrey, because Massachusetts is an anti-2A a state. You cannot have a pistol grip and a threaded barrel on a semi auto rifle. https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/massachusetts_restrictions.pdf , Stay safe and have a great day!
