The gun also has Colt 70 Series internals and checkered plastic grips. Frame and slide The frame and slide are forged from carbon steel The frame is full-size and ramped The slide is government length Barrel The barrel is 5 inches long and forged and machined with button rifling Finish The gun has a parkerized finish The finish has a hint of olive-drab coloration Grips The grips are checkered plastic The Tisas Museum-Grade 1911A1 also comes with double-diamond checkered wood grips.
