between those I would chose the Marlin (ruger) but in my opinion the Henry beats them both at a lower price Buds has a incorrect picture for the henry its the large loop for the standard use model number H012G you can see better pics here at the henry site

Hi Phil and welcome. Personally, I would choose the Marlin. Slightly better build quality, smoother action and is known for reliability. Cheers and stay safe! Either works but Marlin just does lever rifles a bit better.
