I am trying to mount the scout scope recommended in the 12/2023 comment. Besides removing the peep sight, the scope hangs into the ejection area. It looks like I can move the rail forward an inch to get the clearance I need. However, before attempting that, I wanted to know if it is actually doable. Or would you recommend returning the scope for a shorter one?

I am trying to mount the scout scope recommended in the 12/2023 comment.  Besides removing the peep sight, the scope hangs into the ejection area.
