I personally owned an EAA witness 9mm. I loved it. Some of he edges are sharp like on the slide stop lever and safety. It was ergonomic but not the most comfortable. Bottom line though, that EAA ate every brand of ammo I put in it like a champ and was far beyond just accurate. Just for kicks, I emptied a full 16 round mag into a 12" paper target from about 10 yards, as fast as I could pull the trigger and all but one lands inside the target. This frame isn't much smaller than the 9mm so I imagine the recoil on this is probably not bad at all and could very well be a fun pistol for a younger person to get some practice with. I hope that helps!
Great little gun my wife had me buy her one (Witness Pavona Imperial 380) and she loves it, recoil is mild and it ate all kinds of ammo we ran through it.Easy for her to rack the slide and she really enjoys shooting which I thought would never happen after a day at the range and trying many many types of guns from the case. Now she wants another one EAA 999405 WITNESS PAVONA 9MM BL/FANDANGO also comes in a 380
