Why is this called "Rem Mag"
Is it different than the 357 Magnum I normally use with my GP100?

Hi Thomas and welcome. It is the exact same. 357 Remington Magnum or just .357 Magnum are one and the same round. Cheers and stay safe!

Remington developed it originally.  It is 357 magnum.
