Previous post of Rossi Gallery 22WMR pump not locking in closed position and had been sent to Rossi Warranty twice - not fixed and last time labeled NPF (no problem found). Trevor D responded with the correct functions for this rifle but did not address the repair needed or how to get this rifle fixed. This rifle will not lock the action closed when properly pumped with live round and trigger in any position! Again the release on the trigger guard doesn't have any control on the action.

Hi John and welcome. It is odd that Rossi returned it twice noted with NPF. Seems like an easy out in regard to proper action lock after the pump is actuated. Maybe a local FFL can recommend a local gunsmith? Cheers and I hope you get it sorted out soon!

Sorry about that, just my best guess based on limited information. Were it in my hands and failing any sort of claim by Rossi, I'd disassemble and clean everything (dirty or not) and inspect for broken/misaligned springs myself. Interesting that the manual itself makes no mention of the action lock button even when describing the unloading procedure, seems to only be present in the parts diagram.

I would have it checked out by a local gunsmith and decide where to go from there IE repair or cut your losses and get a different gun. Maybe you could get rossi to reimburse you
