Yes this will fit. You may want to check the diameter of the end of your barrel so that you have a smooth transition.

It will thread on, but will not be the same thickness as the barrel. This compensator matches the contour of any .900" target barrel, but the M&P 15-22 barrel has an outside diameter of .675", so it will not look very aesthetic. Stay safe & have a great day!
