The R9 is much closer to a Browning Hi Power clone than a 1911 and has a substantially different enough trigger guard and dust cover shape that laser/lights like this TLR-6 are not going to mount properly. For a laser, my one possible guess for compatibility would be things like laser grips for the Hi Power like this (if you can find one in stock somewhere): https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/33074/crimson+trace+laser+grips+browning+hi+power+high However, even then I'm not certain it will fit without comparing the actual dimensions of the R9 to a Hi Power.
