Hi Allen and welcome. No, generally a semi-automatic handgun will not reliably cycle shotshells without jamming due to reduced powder charge in shotshell ammunition. That's why shot shell packages specifically state, not recommended for semi-auto's. The Shield EZ comes close but won't be 100% reliable. Cheers and stay safe!

I have an XD 45 that does, but I wouldn't trust it with them for self defense.
