What is the difference (besides about $49) between this gun with a "TS" at the end of its name, and the one without? In other words (I guess), what does the TS stand for? (Pardon my ignorance -- I'm new to this!!) Thanks!!!

Thumb safety it has a manual Thumb safety

Tim, the TS Stands for "Thumb Safety"  (the lever below the rear serrations). The non TS model does not have this safety lever. Smith and Wesson makes the pistol with and without because prefer it and some don't.
