Hello! Let me see if I can make myself clearer now. I want an angled foregrip for this AR, but I don't see where to put it on the front end, since it's awkward for me due to the protrusion immediately in front of the magazine well, and there's a gap in it. If I put one where it seems possible, it would be too far forward. I don't see how I'd put one on unless I changed the handguard, right?

Hi Mayra and thanks for the clarification. With that protrusion and short handguard past that, an angled grip would sit too far forward as you stated. You best option is to change out the handguard. Hi Mayra, that is correct. If you don't want it all the way up front, you will need to change the handguard. 
Or if you are mechanically inclined and good with hand tools, you may be able to make something work. 
Without having the actual gun in hand, it is hard to recommend a hack to make this work.
