Hi Rachel and welcome. No, but I took mine apart, cleaned and lubed the bolt carrier group, charging handle rails as I do with even new firearms before use. Not that rifle specifically no, and without a more detailed description of the problem I would just say that AR-15 platform rifles can be difficult to load with completely full magazines on a closed bolt as there is a lot of spring tension pushing against the bottom of the bolt. This can lead to either 1. not seating the magazine fully even though it may appear to stick in place and thus not feeding rounds from it correctly or 2. locking the magazine in correctly but experiencing resistance in pulling back the charging handle. Potential solutions are to take a few rounds out of a full magazine before loading, or preferably lock the bolt back first without a magazine inserted, then put in the magazine properly and close the bolt with the release lever. Other mechanical problems are certainly possible excepting those options, but hard to tell without knowing more.
