Hi Joseph and welcome. There are several depending on the application. #6 Shot in either length is good all-around hunting loads. #4 Buckshot is a good home and self-defense load. For home defense I would load #4 Buck and low recoil slugs in a staggered configuration. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
sorry there is no such thing as a all around shotgun ammo it will depend on what you want to do with the shotgun for upland birds and clay targets and loads of 7 1/2 or 8 shot will be good small game hunting shot size 5 or 6 ducks you will need steel or other non lead shot home defense #1 to #4 buck will be good deer and larger game including bear defense OO, OOO or slugs will be the ammo of choice
