Not sure how far you'll get by calling Buds as they do not open sealed box firearms to inspect, modify or weigh. I mean, it can't hurt to try I guess. You can give Buds customer service a call at 1-859-368-0371 9am-7pm EST Mon-Fri and ask them to maybe help.
