Hi Erik and welcome. Yes, this Turkish load features a cost-effective bimetal jacketed FMJ. The lead core bullet's soft steel jacket won't damage the rifling, but it will attract a magnet (a concern only if you shoot at a commercial range that bans magnetic ammo). Cheers and stay safe!
Good morning to you!! The Sterling 7.62x39 ammunition is bi metal. Made from a soft steel jacket and lead core. BTW it is magnetic 🧲. Hope this helps, have a good day.
Hi Erik, the projectile itself is not bi-metal. The bullet's core is made of solid lead, but its bi-metal jacket will attract a magnet and are accordingly verboten at indoor and some commercial ranges. Stay safe & have a great day!
