Does it effect the velocity of the 22 long rifle fired from a pistol barrel like this one that will shoot 22 mags also...Is the 22 mag a little bigger diameter..in the rifling...Would the 22 long rifle perform beter out of a barrel that is for 22 long rifle?

Hi Donald and welcome. No The 22Mag bullet and the 22LR bullet are the same diameter The case of the 22Mag is larger diameter (which requires the 22Mag Cylinder) and the bullet is fully encased by the case.
