Hi Curtis, the finish on the Colt Python model PYTHONBP6WTS is a blued finish, but it is not the same as the older Royal Blue; it has a blacker appearance and is polished, though some reports mention it may not be as highly polished as previous models. Hi Curtis and welcome. Thes new models have a semi-gloss or semi-polished blued finish and not the highly polished finish of old. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

It's medium polished unlike the former pythons that were more glossy.
