Good evening to you!! The Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 Optics Ready line of pistols, including the 14122 model, features a proprietary optic cut designed to work with adapter plates. While some optics may fit directly, many popular red dot sights require the use of these plates for mounting. Smith & Wesson includes several optics plates with the M&P M2.0 Optics Ready models to accommodate a variety of red dot sights. However, to ensure a precise and secure fit, some manufacturers offer aftermarket plates designed specifically for the M&P 2.0 cut. The Holosun SCS-MP2-GR is a notable exception as it is specifically designed for direct mounting to the M&P M2.0 slide without the need for an adapter plate.
