Hi Kelly and welcome. First order of business is to disassemble, clean and lube the magazine, even if new) and retry with the same ammunition and then different ammunition. This will identify or eliminate the magazine/ammunition as being the issue. You can accomplish the same with another magazine and ammunition as well. The pistol will be the next culprit so disassemble clean and lube and retry. If it turns out to be the pistol, then a service call for advice or service may be in order with Bersa. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
