Hi Dave, since we are customers like yourself and do not have access to firearms, there is no way to know the particular blemish on this specific gun. They are cosmetic imperfections. These products are in like-new condition with very minor blemishes. Most are barely noticeable, and many report the blemish cannot be seen unless thoroughly examined. This product has been factory reconditioned by Colt. This unit is no longer under warranty for anything cosmetic related. Stay safe & have a great day!
Hi Dave and welcome. Most of these blems are tiny imperfections in the metal finish. These could be small spots of discoloration or dullness spots. According to reviews from other vendor websites, some owners are unable to find the blemish. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
Good evening to you. Blemishes on these firearms could be anything. It could be finishing imperfections, tool marks, any type of cosmetic imperfections. In no way do we know exactly what the blemish will be since each one on each firearm is different. I can say that in no way does it hinder the fit and function of the firearm. Hope this helps. Have a good rest of your day. 🇺🇸🇺🇸 'merica' 🇺🇸🇺🇸

It can be a smudged fingerprint that QC at colt didnt wipe off and nobody bothered to check or it could be a scratch somewhere you wont ever see.
