No, the Colt King Cobra .357 MAG 3" brushed Stainless Steel with Hogue grip was not a special-made model. It was a standard production firearm reintroduced by Colt in 2019 as part of their "Snake" series. The King Cobra was brought back as a .357 Magnum, 3-inch barrel variant of the 2017 Colt Cobra. While it features a brushed stainless steel finish and Hogue grips, these are standard features for this model. Here's why: Reintroduction: The King Cobra was discontinued in the late 1990s and reintroduced in 2019 as a modern version of the classic revolver. Standard Features: The brushed stainless steel finish and Hogue grips are part of the standard configuration for the reintroduced King Cobra.
Hi Greg and welcome. Most of the reintroduction Colt King Cobras were regular stainless steel as shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nt9XWnhfgrk ------------------ I would contact COLT Customer Service to verify this upc/model number is indeed "Matte" Stainless Steel at +1 800-962-2658. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
Hi Greg, I don't believe it is a special run. Not sure why it is not on the Colt web site, but is does have a Matte finish. The SM in model number ZKCOBRASM3BB is for Stainless Matte. The other brushed stainless model has SB (Stainless Brushed) in the model number KCOBRASB3BB https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/109307/colt+king+cobra+357+magnum+revolver , Stay safe & have a great day!
