Is it the actual barrel that is comp'd, or the slide? And if so does it make the barrel any shorter or longer than the 3.7in?

Good evening to you!! The barrel and slide is compensated on the  Springfield Armory Hellcat OSP Pro COMP 9mm Semi Auto Pistol..it does not shorten the barrel oal. Hope this helps. Have a good rest of your day.

Hi Robert and welcome. Both the barrel and the slide is comped. The barrel is the same length as the standard model as the front sight is just moved back to accommodate the comped barrel/slide. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

The barrel & slide are both comp'd on this model. The barrel has not been shortened from it's 3.7" Length.

Hi Robert, both the barrel & slide are comped. The integral compensator featured on the Hellcat Pro Comp is discreetly designed with a single port on the top of the hammer-forged slide and barrel. Redirecting gas upwards, it effectively reduces muzzle rise and enhances control.
It does not change the length of the barrel, it is still 3.7"
