Hello Jess, while it will work I would mention that on a short barrel AR pistol, if you put a suppressor on, realize the the gas pressure will be very hard on the pistol. This will create a situation where the bolt carrier group (BCG) is slamming back every time you fire. I recommend that you A) put an adjustable gas block on your pistol to reduce the amount of gas cycling the BCG (this will dramatically reduce wear and tear on your pistol) OR B) Install a piston system in place of the DI gas tube OR C) get an aftermarket BCG that regulates the amount of gas. I personally used a combination of options A and C. Once I did that, no problems at all and it is a very pleasant pistol to shoot as recoil is soft and decibels are reduced.
