The Beretta APX A1 Tactical 9mm, 4.8" Threaded Barrel is compatible with standard 17-round full-size (OEM ONLY) APX magazines and 21-round extended magazines, according to Beretta. It also accepts the 15-round magazines designed for the APX Compact, though these will not provide the extended capacity of the full-size magazines, according to a Reddit thread. The 21-round extended magazines are included with the pistol. The APX A1 Tactical comes with three 21-round magazines, and the full-size 17-round magazines are also compatible. While the 21-round magazines are designed for the APX A1, the 15-round magazines for the APX Compact will also function in the Tactical model. However, it's worth noting that some users have reported issues with the spring in the 21-round magazine, according to a Reddit thread.
