Hi Jason and welcome. The Shooting Dynamics SJHP has a different bullet with a thinner jacket for more expansion in a self-defense scenario for 2 legged critters. The Extreme bullet is the Hornady XTP bullet with a thicker jacked that expands less dramatically and yields deeper penetration and is more versatile for self-defense for both 2 legged and 4 legged critters say for woods carry or hunting.
