Hi Anthony and welcome. It you are getting frequent jams with different ammo and magazines, that would point to the firearm. I would remove the bolt carrier group, clean and lube it, clean and lube the charging handle and guide groves with a quality synthetic lubricant. This will remove any grit and reduce any cycling friction. Then retry firing. Hello Anthony, I agree with James G & Ed C. When I first read your question I was thinking the same thing...it maybe the firearm itself. The ATI Alpha Maxx is a budget-friendly, piston-driven AR-style rifle. While it's designed to be a fun and affordable platform, these have a history of issues like jams, especially if the rifle isn't properly maintained or if the ammunition isn't compatible. On the other hand, I too like Ed C, use PMC X-Tac and my AR feeds it consistently with no FTF etc. You're best bet is too wait for good deals and sales and purchase good ammo in bulk.
