Chester Sir, The CCI 357/38 Special #9 Shotshell ammunition uses lead pellets, not steel. This makes it illegal to use on Ohio public hunting lands, which require steel or other non-toxic shot for vermin. CCI also makes a special "Bismuth" version of its shotshells for hunters who require non-toxic alternatives. Bismuth is a dense metal that performs similarly to lead and is a viable alternative where lead shot is prohibited. Hope the above info helps Sir Chester and happy hunting 🙏
They are filled with lead shot, no go for use in Ohio.
Lead shot and a no go for use in Ohio.
Hi Chester, the one you referenced has lead shot. You want CCI 3738B #8 shot. These are 100% lead free, but they are not steel either. The pellets in CCI Pest Control HEVI-Bismuth 38 Special are made of a non-toxic material called Hevi-Bismuth, which has a density similar to lead. This allows for effective pest control while adhering to non-toxic ammunition requirements. (Bismuth is a non-toxic heavy metal) Hevi-Bismuth is legal for hunting in Ohio as it is considered a non-toxic shot option. budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/162322/cci+3738b+38+special+357+mag+10+per+box+20+case , Stay safe & have a great day!
