Hello Marty, The use of incorrect or outdated pictures is a known issue on the BudsGunShop website. Descriptions of this model, particularly the "Patriot Predator," specify that it comes with a top-mounted Picatinny rail for optics. The picture for Buds Item Number 184659 is likely incorrect, and the rifle does include a picatinny rail. If at anytime the item you receive is not as pictured or described to your liking BudsGunShop has an excellent return policy for cases such as website description errors.
