Greetings Steven, A government shutdown will likely cause delays in the shipping stages of firearms purchased from BudsGuns because key functions of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and other agencies may be suspended. While the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) is expected to remain operational, furloughs and staffing reductions at the ATF will slow the processing of necessary paperwork.
