Jason L the barrel link is a critical piece that needs to be fitted when changing a barrel a mis fit link could cause it to be able to be fired without being in locked up
Yes, if it is a standard type 1911.
Hi Leonard and welcome. No firearm specified but, if you mean a "Standard" 5-inch 1911, a 5" Colt Gold Cup National Match barrel would drop right in. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
if your gun is a standard full size 1911 then the barrel will fit. Please be aware that 1911s are not drop in part guns and the barrel will need to be fitted by someone who knows the 1911 platform. I carry a scar on my fore head from a 1911 that the person in the next shooting lane thought you could just "drop in a barrel". it blew the slide apart and cracked the frame part of the slide cut my forehead
Yes, a standard 5" Colt Gold Cup National Match barrel is generally interchangeable with other standard 5" Colt 1911 barrels (like pre-70 Series or Series 70), often as a semi-drop-in part, but you might need minor fitting for the barrel bushing or Hood to ensure perfect accuracy and function, as these match barrels are tighter for precision.
Good evening to you!! The Colt national match barrel can drop in with minor fitting of the barrel bushing and hood. Hope this helps. Have a good rest of your day. 🇺🇸🇺🇸 'Merica' 🇺🇸🇺🇸
