Hi Elizabeth and welcome to the community. Yes Ma'am, once Buds physically pulls the firearm from inventory and place on layaway, that serial number then becomes associated with your firearm and will be the serial number that ships to your local FFL Dealer. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

Absolutely yes!! Once a firearm is put on layaway it is pulled from Buds inventory so that will be the actual serial number of your G21 Gen5 you put on layaway.
