S and W 38 special snubnose loud and damaging and small enough for her to control with her hands.
Also easy to use no slide to rack just point shoot. Simple reliable most just frighten with noise and mussel flash. Just easier for a novice!
Hi Ric and welcome. I would highly recommend a subcompact or micro 9mm handgun. The Ruger Max 9 is good sized for a lady, good capacity, and reliable. https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/182908/ruger+max-9+9mm+semi+auto+pistol+3.2+optic+ready+12+1 -------------------------- Some other excellent options in 9mm and .380 are: https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/714031183/taurus+gx4+9mm+3+13rd+toro+graphene ------------------------------------------- https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/713094996/ruger+lcp+max+.380+acp+rose+gold+10rd+front+night+sight. I'd try the S&W Shield EZ. Really easy to rack the slide. Maybe go to a local range and have her try one. 👍🏻‼️
Hey Ric, depending on needs, Deep cover/range shooter, there would be different options. My wife has weaker hands and wanted an easy to rack conceal carry. Hands down for her, the choice was the S&W M&P Shield EZ!!! I can rack the slide with my pointer finger from the front muzzle area!! (UNLOADED of course 😆)
1. Take her to a local gun store. 2. Walk up to the counter. 3. Introduce yourselves to the person at the counter. 4. You walk away and let your wife talk to the person at the counter. 5. Your wife picks out her own firearm.
