Good evening to you!! The upper of the highpoint 9TS M81 is not made of polymer. It is a metal reinforced upper with polymer accessory rails. Hope this helps. Have a good rest of your day. 🇺🇸🇺🇸 'Merica' 🇺🇸 o
Hi Richard and welcome. Polymer with metal reinforced inserts at key stress points. The Hi-Point 9TS M81 (995TS) carbine features a receiver constructed from a combination of polymer and alloy. Specifically, it uses an all-weather, molded polymer skeletonized stock and frame, with a zinc-alloy slide/bolt (featuring steel reinforcing inserts) typical of Hi-Point's. A metal upper would not need metal reinforcing. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
