The Alpha Maxx will use standard AR-15 magazines such as those manufactured by Magpul and Colt just to name a few. The candy also use higher capacity magazines and drums such as manufactured by ProMag and Magpul. budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/132070/ati+atim556s60wmle+s60+schmeisser+223+rem5.56+nato+american+tactical+imports+schmeisser+s60+60rd+black+polymer+detachable+magaz --- budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/1160/magpul+p-mag+ar-15+30+round+black+w+window+gen+m2 --- budsgunshop.com/search.php/type/gun+accessories/q/ar15+magazine />
You can use a standard magazine, find one on here to match you. https://mysoutherntactical.com/ar-15/custom-30-rd-pmags/
Good question George. Yes, it takes standard AR magazines. I'm a big fan of magpul's PMAGs right here at buds. https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/1177/magpul+arm4+gen+m3+30rd+.223rem5.56nato+black That link is for the Gen3, which has a slightly narrower baseplate so it's easier to put two in a mag pouch. They also have a little textured spot at the bottom for you mark them. The gen2 work just as well if you aren't interested in those two features. There are PMAGs with windows along the side so you can see how many rounds you have left at a glance. If you are looking for other options, any mags that are "NATO Standard", STANAG (stands for Standardization Agreement, used by NATO to ensure interoperability) or USGI, will work in your rifle.
