I have a Kimber Micro 9 Nightfall. I now have a live round jammed in it. The round is a Hornaday Critical Defense. It failed to feed and is now jammed as it did not go into battery. Any suggestions on how to safely remove it?

Yeah, pry it out from the barrel/feed ramp along the edge of the Casing. Just need something flat enough to get in-between the Casing and barrel. Obviously keep the front if the barrel pointed in a safe direction .

Hi Ronald and welcome. To safely clear a jammed round in a Kimber Micro 9, keep your finger off the trigger and the muzzle pointed in a safe direction. First, press the magazine release button and remove the magazine completely. Then, forcefully rack the slide to the rear to clear the jammed cartridge from the chamber. You can also press the muzzle against a sturdy source like the edge of a table or bed post and give a sharp push with your dominate hand holding the pistol grip. This should generate enough pressure to dislodge the slide to eject the round. Cheers and stay safe!
