If it was listed on Buds site already you do not have to call. However, I always call as a courtesy to keep my local FFL informed. They will appreciate it.

Hi Scott, I call as a courtesy to keep my local FFL informed. If they're on the Buds preferred list there is no need to. Once your FFL receives the package they'll call you after checking it in.
