Just wondering how interchangable these parts are. I'm interested in AR-15 style rifles because of their customization potential, but is this easy to customize?

Hi Jonathan, you could but there are other considerations as well. A longer barrel is certainly possible but you will need to match the Gas Tube length to suit the length as in - carbine length, mid length and rifle length. This will ensure the reliability of function. And yes, AR's are easy to customize and companies abound to configure just about anything you may want to do.
