would you buy the mossberg 590 shockwave or the remington 8700? either way im leaning towards the 20 gauge over the 12 gauge. thoughts?

Either would get the job done but I am biased Carl. I own 1 Remington 870, and 3 Mossberg shotguns. The 590 Mossberg platform is sturdy and "Military" proven.  Nuff Said!

Why 20g over 12G? If for home protection I'd go with the 12.
