Hi Brian and welcome. This M1 Carbine clone uses stripper clips. Cheers and stay safe!
The Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbine clone uses standard, detachable box magazines (typically available in 10-, 15-, or 30-round capacities). • Detachable Magazines (Primary): The rifle feeds directly from standard Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbine Magazines or vintage GI-style detachable box magazines. (Note: "M1A1" refers to the folding-stock paratrooper version of the rifle, which uses these exact same detachable box magazines).Stripper Clips (Secondary): While it does not load directly into the top of the rifle like a bolt-action rifle or an M1 Garand, you can use 10-round stripper clips alongside a magazine adapter (often called a "spoon") to quickly load the detachable box magazines off the rifle.
