The FN509 won't disappoint you. With the gazillion different brands of 9mm ammunition, I would trade and not look back. I have been an Armorer in the military and ammunition these days (especially a few stubborn types) should not decide a pistol acquisition of a fine pistol such as the FN509. Low center line, natural point characteristics and excellent ergonomics are very good reasons to trade.
The 509 is a great gun but I don't like the way it feels. see if you can rent one somewhere to try
