Last night my house (garage) was broken into and my shotgun was stolen. Unfortunately, I didn't keep a copy of its serial number. I am trying to track down whether Bud's or the FFL maintain a copy when they sell them.

Last night my house (garage) was broken into and my shotgun was stolen.  Unfortunately, I didn't keep a copy of its serial number.  I am trying to track down whether Bud's or the FFL maintain a copy when they sell them.

Sorry to hear about your break-in The FFL will have it on his Form 4473 and in his firearms record book.I would think buds would also have a record of the SN that they shipped to you

Luther, your local FFL will have a record of your shotgun's serial number on file. It was recorded when they transferred your shotgun to you. Should be just a simple phone call. A few FFL's may require you to come in in person to show ID.
