Its not something that I have heard of on the springfield I suggest you contact Springfield and Speak with them about it You may have got a out of spec pin Call 1-800-680-6866

This is not common Edward. You can contact Springfield for a resolution at 1-800-680-6866.  I would also look into Anti-Walk  Non-Rotating Gen 2 Pins.
