you will need to attach an M-LOK Picatinny Rail piece in order to attach Accessories other than a Front Sight

Yes, you will need to attach an M-LOK Picatinny Rail piece in order to attach Accessories other than a Front Sight Jason. There is already a built in section for the front sight.
