Some of the photos used by Bud's are "stock" photos (generic) but if they state it is FDE, rest assured that is what it is. But, and the big but is, there really is no standard FDE color per se. So if the manufacturer calls a dark rusty brown color FDE, that what it will be, a dark rust brown. A lot of images on the web do not necessarily render the colors correctly.I have seen FDE run the gamut from light tan to dark brown. I did manage to find this identical lower assembly image at another vendor's web site and it is identical to the one on Bids. It may actually be more of a rusty brown than the more familiar FDE color found on most mainstream/big brand name firearms.
Per the manufacturer's website at http://shop.bravocompanymfg.com/AR15-M4-BCM-Lower-Receiver-Group-Stock-Mod-0-FDE-p/lrg-stk-mod-0-fde.htm BCM Pistol Grip Mod 3 Flat Dark Earth BCM Stock Mod 0 Flat Dark Earth BCM Enhanced Trigger Guard Flat Dark Earth Per the page here at Bud's... "*Please Note!! Many of our pictures are stock photos provided to us by the manufacturer and do not necessarily represent the actual item being purchased. Please verify this picture accurately reflects the product described by the title and description on this page before you place your order." So I'd call Bud's before purchase to ask. (859) 368-0371
I've ordered a couple guns from here that did not match the picture and it worked out to my benefit. The best thing to do to double check is to look for the model number and see if it is the same in other places. Or get with the manufacturer This one is indeed FDE (all of it)
